Dev Mohan, recently seen in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s forthcoming mythological film Shaakuntalam, has been working hard on his fitness and body. A passionate animal lover himself, Dev is also contributing to various fundraising campaigns for flood-affected people in Kerala.
He spent two years perfecting his role of a Sufi saint by learning Arabic and Sufi dance, before taking nine months to master the movie’s intricately detailed sequences.
He is an Indian actor and model
Dev Mohan is an Indian actor and model who made his acting debut in the Malayalam movie Sufiyum Sujatayum (2020). In it he appeared alongside Aditi Rao Hydari and Jayasurya. Dev is a former Mr India finalist who has participated in modeling events; animal lover who frequently posts photos with his pets online; as well as charitable activities including contributing funds towards flood-affected victims in Kerala.
Dev’s acting skills were greatly appreciated in the film and became famous due to it. He even won numerous awards for his role in it! Additionally, Dev has amassed a massive fan following across social media platforms; with over 300k Instagram followers and 100k on Facebook alone!

Dev was chosen after participating in a nationwide audition process. Hailing from Thrissur in Kerala and currently employed with an MNC based out of Bangalore. With his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering under his belt and regular participation in charitable activities and raising money for flood-affected victims.
Dev also featured prominently in the 2022 mythological film Panthrandu, based on Shakuntala by 4th-century Indian playwright Kalidasa and releasing under Warner Bros. Dev was highly lauded for his performance.
Recently, Shine Tom Chacko signed for another Malayalam film with no title announced as yet. Starring Shine Tom Chacko, Lal and Vinayakan as well as Samantha Ruth Prabhu will feature prominently.
Dev Mohan looked dapper in his monochromatic full-sleeved T-shirt featuring ruffled details and low neck. He paired it with black wide-leg denims and sliders – creating an impressionistic photo op that showcased him perfectly! In his caption he wrote out an anonymous note to his future bride without disclosing who she might be.
He made his Telugu debut in Shaakuntalam
Dev Mohan will make his Telugu film debut in Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s mythological drama Shaakuntalam, currently filming and in post-production stage. To ensure his best performance possible, Dev has been working hard at getting into character by hitting the gym regularly to sculpt his physique for this role. In addition, watching videos of script and studying nuances about character were essential parts of preparation.
Samantha was unveiled today with her first look poster for Shaakuntalam and it is nothing short of magical. Samantha looks absolutely ethereal in this poster that shows her sitting on a rock among peacocks, deers, and swans – an exact portrayal of Shakuntala herself!
Samantha stars as Shakuntala from Mahabharata who falls in love with Dushyanta, King of Puru dynasty. It is inspired by Abhignyana Shakuntalam by Kalidasa and directed by Gunasekhar and will be released simultaneously across multiple formats by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations banner in Hindi, Telugu Tamil Kannada 2D/3D formats.
